Cleaning Machines
16 Mar
I have been in an oatmeal mood all week long. Normally I crave a bowl of cereal in the morning but that hasn’t been the case this week. Today I had a bowl of cooked rolled oats and banana with GoLean, fresh strawberries, peanut butter AND dark chocolate peanut butter on top. Talk about decadent.
I was running a little behind this morning because I was slow to get my butt going for a run this morning. It’s really really hard to wake up when it’s so dark out and there isn’t even the slightest bit of dawn approaching. After finally waking up at 6am I got dressed and hit my neighborhood for a five mile run.
Since I didn’t have time to eat my entire breakfast at home, I took it with me to work and finished it up at my desk.
A few co-workers and I went out for a Thai lunch at Spoon. Somehow we ended up with fancy drinks in front of us.
I can’t remember the exact name of the cocktail but it was some sort of Thai tea chocolate martini. It basically tasted like chocolate milk. Delicious! For my meal I had the Ginger stir fry with veggies.
After work I was starving, yes…starving.
I snacked quite a bit but didn’t take any pictures…
As soon as Chris got home from work we started running our errands. This weekend one of my close girlfriends is coming to town and I cannot wait to see her. She’s staying with Chris and I (on an air mattress since we don’t yet have an extra bed) and it will be her first time to see his house. We have had a few items on our House Want List so we decided we might as well get a few of them before our first weekend guest arrives.
We went to Target for lamps, light bulbs and a new ottoman/coffee table. Chris handled packing it all up in the bed of the truck.
While I sat in the car and checked out the book I sneaked into our shopping cart. It’s Emily Giffin’s latest book, Heart of the Matter. I have read all of her previous books and I thought they were all fun, girly books. Tonight I decided I needed to have her new one too.
Once the truck was packed up with our new house items we drove straight to dinner.
We grabbed our veggie bowls to-go, came home, shoved dinner in our mouths and got to cleaning/organizing the house.
Chris was first in charge of setting up the new items.
I’m in charge of cleaning. I don’t mind cleaning although I don’t do it as often as I should (maybe I do mind cleaning
). The one part I really hate about cleaning: scrubbing our linoleum floors. It is hard work!
I am always pooped after scrubbing on my hands and knees.
Alright I still have floors to scrub…I was using blogging as my break from cleaning. Now it’s time to go back to being a cleaning machine. Plus Chris is still working hard while I’m sitting here relaxing, oops.
Happy Hump Day! Only two more days until the weekend and my friend Clare comes to town!

I never scrub floors. Probably should though. I’m just too busy scrubbing kids butts I guess. LOL
And your bowl of oats looks like a fave combo of mine. So yummy!
Hahaha wow that really made me laugh!
