Hello, hello!
How was your weekend? It was pretty grey here but I did manage to squeeze in a nine mile run first thing Saturday morning while the sun was out for its brief showing of two hours this weekend.
I drove up to Roswell where I grew up and ran along the nice flat trails along the Chattahoochee river with my longest friend Malory. Her and I used to play on the playground along the river and in only three short months Chris and I will be partying it up at our reception on that very same river.
Excitement rushed over me as I saw our reception venue across the river during my run. I can’t wait to marry Chris and celebrate with our friends and family. Only 89 days to go!
During my run I was dreaming of a smoothie as my second breakfast. With such a warm and sunny morning (I ran in shorts!) a cheery strawberry banana concoction was calling my name.
Strawberry Banana Smoothie
Ingredients:
- 1/2 frozen banana
- 5 strawberries (about 1 cup whole berries)
- 2/3 cup almond milk (or milk of choice)
- 1/4 cup rolled oats
- 2 T protein powder (optional)
Place everything in a blender, turn on high and blend until smooth.
Drinking this is getting me ready for my bachelorette trip to Mexico with all my girls. Less than 3 weeks until we leave!
Can you tell I’m in a countdown mood?!
Are you counting down for any upcoming events? Here’s another: only 28 more days until spring is officially here!
Can you believe how good the strawberries already are? I got some awesome ones at YDFM this weekend.
Soooo jealous you’re going to Mexico!
I love vacation countdowns – it’s the incentive to make it through work.
I just realized I’m 5 weeks away from vacation myself – although mine will (hopefully) be colder than Mexico – snowboarding in Utah!
Saturday morning was gorgeous running weather! And that smoothie sounds delicious.
