Ethiopian Dinner with Bloggers

Hey! First, sorry for being extra slow to respond to comments. For some reason I’ve stopped receiving the notification emails and I assumed no one was commenting since my blogging has been pretty inconsistent lately. Lo and behold, you’re still there. Thank you! And sorry for my craziness. Fingers crossed my job will start getting back to normal workload levels soon.

Tonight I got to enjoy one of my favorite parts of blogging – having dinner with blog friends!

I met Lee, Alayna, Heather, Laura, Kat , Heather and her boyfriend for an Ethiopian feast. We went to Desta, which I’d been wanting to try.

I’ve only eaten Ethiopian food one other time, but neither Chris nor I were big fans. Only one of the dishes on my vegetarian sampler platter was decent. Tonight I got to taste good Ethiopian food. Again I went with a vegetarian platter that had over 10 dishes to try. I loved all of them but maybe two. And those two weren’t bad, they were more just so-so.

Now I have the hard job of convincing Chris to give Ethiopian food another go. I’ll let you know if I succeed.

Have you had Ethiopian cuisine? What did you think?

You know, the same thing happened to me with my work blog (also self-hosted wordpress), I stopped getting comment notifications. Weird.

So nice to see you even if we didn’t get to chat much last night. I’m all for a trip to Panahar next time and I think I’m going to sign up for the 10K tonight.

Really? Do you happen to know how to fix it and start getting the email notifications again?

Panahar sounds good to me too. Maybe in March?
