I skipped blogging yesterday as I was too busy sleeping in before work and then shopping after work, whoops!
My shopping spree began online yesterday morning at Gap and Piperlime. Gap was having 30% off and Piperlime was 20% off so I had to take advantage of it and buy myself a few things. Can’t wait until my new jeans, dresses and winter coat arrive!
We also needed some grocery shopping as food was getting sparse in our house. Typically I like to do my meal planning and grocery stock up on Sundays, but ran out of time this past weekend. Last night I fixed that and our low deodorant problem. Thank you, Publix and Target.
I scored some pumpkin spice Dunkin Donuts coffee on sale too. The best part? Chris doesn’t like it, so I get an entire bag to myself. Now we’re talking.
Now onto a book I finished! This is exciting news as I don’t get around to reading as often as I’d like – blogs, Twitter and television suck me in too much.
But over the weekend I wrapped up the book Come to the Edge by Christina Haag. It’s the author’s love story with John F. Kennedy Jr. and their five year relationship.
The book jumps around a bit in time but overall I enjoyed the story. It wasn’t a gossipy tell-all but more of a story about their love and memories from their relationship.
Of course there were also some stories sprinkled throughout about the Kennedy family. It was interesting to have a peak into JFK’s life and also hear about Jackie and some of the family homes they would visit.
The next book on my list is Mindy Kaling’s Is Everybody Hanging Out Without Me?. I’m hoping for a funny and easy read.
Any books you’ve read lately that you’d recommend?
I read that Mindy Kaling book. It made me want to be her friend. I just read Gone Girl, which was a page-turner.
I love reading!! I go through kicks where I’ll read 5 books in a row and then I start reading one that doesn’t captivate me as much and I stop reading as much. That’s happening to me right now with A Casual Vacancy… for some reason I can’t give up on it but it is just not very good…
I just finished a vampire-cheesy book in a series I love: Morganville Vampires. I have such grown-up taste in books sometimes. I also just finished Redeeming Love, which is an actual book meant for adults (yay me!). I’m listening to two other audiobooks right now (one for commute, one for running) and trying to decide on a new one for my kindle. So many books, so little time.
You’ll love the Mindy Kaling book- it is laugh-out-loud funny!
Yay, glad to hear that!
